- Wash apples thoroughly and remove cores using an apple corer or knife. Slice crosswise into thin rounds approximately 1/8 inch thick using a mandoline slicer or sharp knife for uniform thickness.
- Pat apple slices dry with paper towels to eliminate surface moisture, which helps achieve optimal crispiness during air frying.
- Place apple slices in a single layer in the air fryer basket without overlapping. Work in batches as needed to ensure proper air circulation and even cooking.
- Lightly spray or brush slices with oil if desired. Evenly dust with ground cinnamon, adding optional sugar for additional sweetness if preferred.
- Cook at 325°F for 12–15 minutes, flipping all slices halfway through after 7 minutes. Watch closely during the final minutes to prevent over-browning.
- Transfer golden chips to a wire rack and allow to cool completely. Chips will continue to crisp as they cool. Store in an airtight container for up to 5 days.
